10 years of Dentec. From our first projects to our own technologies

Today, September 1, 2026, marks exactly 10 years since we started our business. A decade is a good moment to look back and see how much can change in a company that has been constantly moving forward from the very beginning.

We started in a 30-square-meter technical office in Warsaw’s Wawer district, as a distributor of suction cups and grippers. Today, we design complete robotic workstations, cooperate with leading technology suppliers, deliver projects for international companies, and develop our own solutions for industry.

Along the way, our locations changed, the number of projects grew, our team expanded, and so did the scope of our expertise. One thing has remained unchanged – our engineering mindset and the belief that technology should respond to the real needs of the Client.

2016. It all started with 30 m²

The story of Dentec began with Łukasz Gębala and Dawid Kopiński. The company’s first headquarters was located in Warsaw’s Wawer district and had just 30 m² of space.

At the beginning, our business focused primarily on distributing suction cups, grippers, and components from the German brand FIPA. However, from the very start, it was never only about selling products from a catalogue. Dentec was founded by automation and robotics engineers, so technical consulting and finding solutions tailored to specific production processes became a natural direction for the company. This was also how Dentec was described in the first industry publications about our business.

This approach quickly took us further.

2017. From components to our first in-house projects

Just one year later, our first employees joined the team, and Dentec’s activities began to extend beyond distribution alone.

We started developing our first grippers designed to handle specific parts. From today’s perspective, these projects can be seen as the beginning of the engineering expertise that would become one of the company’s key foundations over the following years.

And from the very beginning, the projects were extremely diverse.

They included, among others, a gripper for handling WADER plastic toys, a solution for Tarczyński kabanos sausages, and a gripper designed for cosmetic packaging. Each of these applications required a different approach, technology, and method of product handling.

That same year, we exhibited for the first time at PLASTPOL 2017. At our stand, we presented a robot automatically changing its tools. Looking back today, it is difficult to imagine a more symbolic representation of the direction in which the company was about to develop.

2018–2019. The gripper becomes part of a complete workstation

The next two years brought further growth of the team, which had already reached around 5–7 people. Our original 30 m² was no longer enough, so we moved to a larger, approximately 90-square-meter facility in Warsaw’s Ursynów district.

Even more important, however, was the change in the scale of the projects we were delivering.

Alongside gripper design and component supply, we began developing our first complete automated and robotic workstations. It was during this period that we integrated our first industrial KUKA robot with an injection moulding machine. At the same time, our first semi-automated workstations were also being developed.

Step by step, we were moving from supplying individual automation components to taking responsibility for an increasingly larger part of the production process.

2020–2021. Bigger projects require more space

In the following years, Dentec continued its organic growth. The team had grown to around 10 people, while the increasing number and scale of projects once again presented us with a very practical problem – we were running out of space.

This time, the move was significantly bigger.

The company relocated to a 400-square-meter facility in Grodzisk Mazowiecki, which made it possible to develop much more complex projects. KUKA with an injection moulding machine. At the same time, our first semi-automated workstations were also being developed.

During this period, we significantly expanded our expertise in the Automotive industry and the automation of plastics processing operations. The number of implementations continued to grow, and Dentec was already integrating several industrial robots each year.

At the same time, we expanded our technological expertise to include additional brands such as FANUC and SIEMENS, while Sumcab Robotics solutions joined our portfolio, with Dentec becoming the brand’s exclusive distributor in Poland.

This was the period when the specialization Dentec is strongly associated with today began to take clear shape: comprehensive automation of plastics processing operations.

2022. From local projects to global Clients

Every stage of growth brings different challenges. The year 2022 was marked by considerable market uncertainty and disruption, but for Dentec it was also another step forward.

The experience gained over the previous years and positive references from the plastics processing industry began to open the door to projects delivered for global corporate Clients.

LH-TC also joined our group of technology partners, expanding the available solutions, including automatic tool-changing systems for robots.

The Dentec team had already grown to 12 people.

2023. Our specialization remains, while the industries evolve

For many years, our strong presence in the Automotive sector had been one of the driving forces behind Dentec’s growth. However, uncertainty in the industry showed us how important it was to use our existing expertise in other sectors as well.

That is why, in 2023, we began opening up more broadly to projects for the pharmaceutical and home appliance industries.

This did not mean changing our specialization. Quite the opposite – it allowed us to apply our accumulated experience to new applications while remaining close to the area we know best: the automation and robotization of plastics processing operations.

2024-2025. From integrator to industry expert

The following years were a period of strengthening Dentec’s position in the Polish automation and robotics market.

The company joined the Polish Automation and Robotics Forum (FAIRP) – an organization bringing together leading Polish automation and robotics integrators, technology suppliers, machine manufacturers, and companies developing Industry 4.0 solutions. Today, FAIRP presents Dentec as an engineering company specializing, among other areas, in integrating robots servicing injection moulding machines, designing grippers, insert feeding, part marking, and vision-based quality inspection.

At the same time, we continued to develop partnerships with leading robot manufacturers and technology suppliers.

Dozens of completed projects and years of consistently developing our specialization have made Dentec a recognized partner for companies in the plastics processing industry, recommended by industrial robot manufacturers as an integrator for applications in this sector.

That is a major change compared with 2016.

But perhaps an even bigger one was still to come.

2026. Our first in-house industrial manipulator

The tenth year of our operations opens another chapter.

In 2026, we developed D-Lift – Dentec’s first industrial manipulator, marking our stronger entry into the material handling equipment segment.

D-Lift is a pneumatic-electric manipulator designed to handle loads of up to 250 kg with minimal operator effort. The device and its dedicated gripping systems are designed and built in Poland and tailored to the specific process, workstation, and handled component.

For us, this is much more than another addition to our portfolio.

It is the natural outcome of the journey we have taken over the past decade: from component distribution, through our own grippers and robot integration, to the design of complete industrial equipment.

10 years in motion. And we are not slowing down.

When we started our business in 2016 in a small office in Warsaw’s Wawer district, it was difficult to predict all the projects, technologies, and challenges that the following years would bring.

But one principle has remained unchanged: technology should solve real production challenges, and the Client’s needs should determine the direction of each project. This approach has been part of Dentec from the very beginning and remains one of the company’s foundations today.

Our first ten years have taken us from suction cups and grippers to complete automation, robotics, and material handling systems.

What comes next?

Looking back at the past decade, there is one thing we can say with certainty – we remain in motion.

DENTEC – 10 years in motion. And we are not slowing down.
