Sumcab SUMOFLEX dresspack systems

In May 2019, Sumcab Specialcable GmbH won a licensing tender and became the exclusive licensee for Mercedes-Benz AG. This will enable SUMCAB to strengthen ist market position as a specialist manufacturer and supplier of mechatronic robot periperals with a new power and media supply system for industrial robots.

As a contractual and development partner, SUMCAB will have exclusive rights to make the Daimler invention accessible to the entire robot-supported industry. The international launch will start in January 2021 with the SUMOTEX™ brand name.

Benefits of the System:

• Minimal frictional resistance to the robot from the power and media supply system and thus no more paint abrasion on the robot arm
• The muscle-like effect supports necessary length compensation for the power and media supply system, allowing it to be guided close to the robot
